Else than some little things, like the shimerring log during the recovering task, or, the devision of the contents of the Inbox dbx file into 2 files with the same period of time e-mails. Yes, I asked the software to create another file with recovered e-mails after recovering 2000 e-mails, but, I expected to get 2 succeeding files regarding the e-mail dates, and not the bizar phenomena of 2 folders with the same period of time e-mails!

But, as I mentioned before, these are small things, and above all, I am proud of the task your software performed, and definitely, am going to recommend it to friends.

I had lost important emails during the compacting process and didn't know how to find them or reopen them. Your product resolved the isssue (eventually).
However, you should explain to ludites like me that any BAK fliles can be renamed DBX. The most improtant file I wanted was named BAK (which I understand may have happened in the compacing process) and it took me a day of research to work out that I could change the file name and then apply your product to do the rest. Once I'd worked that out it worked like a treat!

Using DataNumen Outlook Express Repair to Recover Outlook Express Emails

Outlook Express stores all emails in .dbx files. For example, the Inbox.dbx file contains emails in Inbox, the Outbox.dbx file contains emails in Outbox, and so on.

If a .dbx file is corrupt and you cannot access the emails in it, you can use DataNumen Outlook Express Repair to recover your emails from it. The recovered emails are saved as .eml files that can be easily imported back to Outlook Express.

Find the corrupt .dbx or .mbx file to be repaired if you haven't done so.

Note: Before repairing the corrupt dbx or mbx file with DataNumen Outlook Express Repair, please close Outlook Express and any other applications that may modify the file.

Select the corrupt dbx or mbx file to be repaired:

You can input the dbx or mbx filename directly or click the button to browse and select the file. You may also click the button to find the dbx or mbx file to be repaired on the local computer.

By default, DataNumen Outlook Express Repair will output all the recovered messages in directory xxxx_recovered, where xxxx is the name of the corrupt dbx or mbx file. For example, for file Inbox.dbx, the default output directory will be Inbox_recovered. If you want to use another directory, then please select it accordingly:

You can input the directory name directly or click the button to browse and select the directory.

Click button, DataNumen Outlook Express Repair will start recovering mails from the corrupt dbx or mbx file. Progress bar

will indicate the repair progress.

After the repair process, if any messages have been recovered from the dbx or mbx file successfully, you will see a message box like this:

Now you can open a recovered message with Outlook Express by double-clicking the icon of a .eml file in the output directory. Or import multiple messages into a mail folder in Outlook Express.
